Dear Camping Enthusiast,

How is your summer going so far? I hope to see you at the family camping trip this year. I can't tell you where it will be yet but I do know the date...it's August 8, 9, and 10. I have heard that while it is a group site, it's not a very big one so please don't bring any guests not related by blood, marriage, or those designated as "honorary relatives" (AKA, Brian). Hope to see you soon!

Hang in there baby, additional details coming next month!

Thought of the day: A funny thing is if you're out hiking and your friend gets bit by a poisonous snake, tell him you're going for help, then go about ten feet and pretend YOU got bit by a snake. Then start an argument about who's going to get help. A lot of guys will start crying. That's why it makes you feel good when you tell them it was just a joke.

Child Makes Convincing Case For Being Afraid Of Deer

Despite only recently attending her first camping trip, Alexis Burke was able to present a clearheaded and persuasive argument at the family camping trip as to why one might be terrified of a deer. Alexis's parents, who had encouraged their daughter to pet the animal, were reportedly persuaded by their daughter's well-articulated line of reasoning to the contrary. "I assumed all children love deer, but Alexis made some interesting points about the frequency with which they grunt and show their teeth and their scary feet," Thomas Burke, the child's father, said. "I had never thought about it before, but, taking into account her small, delicate frame, it is entirely possible that she could be trampled and die". Following their abrupt departure from the camping trip, the Burkes were again impressed by their daughter's succinct and impassioned call for ice cream.
